Really don’t understand the criticism, it’s a fine film; it’s surely not supposed to be taken seriously- I enjoyed it anyway. Yes it’s a take on your classic buddy comedy, but it’s a successful one in my opinion. Qualley and Viswanathan have good chemistry and the supporting characters did their best to add depth to a fairly simple plot, and their involvement elevated it, solely in the context of them being recognisable faces though. The queer comedy was enjoyable, if not a bit repetitive, but again, I was a fan of this aspect too. The trippy transitions took me out slightly and felt somewhat out of place.
Not at all life-changing, but just fine- I liked it enough to write some words about it at least!
How coincidental that yet another Pedro Pascal character had his eyes gouged out; I’m glad several others in my screening noticed the, seemingly intentional GOT nod.
