JON M. CHU HAS DONE IT ONCE AGAIN AND HAS JUST SHOCKED THE WORLD!!!!
Jon M. Chu had a very big task ahead of him to bring this musical & book to life and wow when I say he really did it!! I saw the play years ago, but I forgot a lot about the story and characters so I had no idea what to expect from this! I always saw the talent in Jon M. Chu so I’m not surprised he delivered at all! Twenty Years in the making and I truly cannot believe he pulled it off!! I was never that excited for this, but after rewatching In the Heights which Jon M. Chu directed back in 2021. I gained more excitement for this! This movie looks incredible to watch and Jon M. Chu truly cooked so hard with the production!! Cynthia Erivo is brilliant as Elphaba and she did a phenomenal job bringing Elphaba to life!! She definitely deserves awards buzz for this! Ariana Grande is a scene-stealer as Glinda and was truly way better than I thought she would be! She deserves all the love in the world for what she brought to Glinda!! Jonathan Bailey is great as Fiyero and he was a scene-stealer at times! Jonathan Bailey is slowly becoming a big name and he’s gonna go to big places! Michelle Yeoh did a great job and had a bigger role than I thought she would! Jeff Goldblum is truly brilliant as The Wizard and I cannot wait to see much more of him in Part Two! Ethan Slater as Boq, Peter Dinklage as Dr. Dillamond, and Bowen Yang as Pfannee are all great as well! Jon M. Chu did a fantastic job directing this and this is truly one of the best movies I’ve seen directed this year so far! He deserves Oscar buzz for the impossible task he ended up pulling off!! John Powell did a fantastic job with the score!! The cinematography is stunning to look at! The costume design is phenomenal to look at! The makeup & hair is really good! I would definitely recommend this to anyone especially people who love The Wicked play or book! Wicked fans are truly in for a treat with this! This sets up Part Two very well and this was a phenomenal Part One! After seeing what Jon M. Chu cooked up with this. I one hundred percent trust him to deliver Part Two with a bang!! Jon M. Chu did an impressive job bringing this to life and this movie is about to make money! Universal Studios did a brilliant job deciding to pick this up and choosing Jon M. Chu to pull off the hard task!! Although Moana 2 could ruin it’s chances at hitting a billion dollars at the box-office. I am so invested into this world and I cannot wait to see more next year in 2025!! I cannot wait to see what you guys think of this when it comes out!!! I hope all of you end up enjoying this!!!
