I can’t believe I’m saying this but rotten tomatoes were finally accurate about a movie! This had such a stacked cast, but most of them felt completely wasted. Not even Cate Blanchett could save this. Claptrap was so annoying and his jokes weren’t funny at all. Kevin Hart is not even terrible, but I just can’t take him serious when he doesn’t do comedy. Coming off of Thanksgiving Eli Roth didn’t cook this time. I also don’t think this was the right project for him. The CGI was disgusting to look at. The action was mediocre. This could have been a lot worse than it was. I would definitely not recommend to anyone unless you really love the games. If you love the games you probably will. The reactions are all accurate and this just is a terrible video game adaptation. I’m seeing Blink Twice later tonight and I hope it’s way better than this!
