Bergman’s ability to observe himself and recreate his own failings as a husband and a human on film are unmatched. He was a turd, he knew it, and he showed it all to us from the beginning. This miniseries is the ultimate admission of guilt and other weaknesses and it is exhausting. It was too real, therefore too difficult after a year of near-total pandemic isolation.
