overall, i found this quite underwhelming. there were a few things i liked: emma stone’s performance, the set design, and the parallels between the beginning and end of the movie. however, i found it quite boring and not very groundbreaking. i definitely understand the appeal, i guess it just didn’t resonate with me as much as it has with others.
i am giving it an extra star for the gasp i let out at the end though.
