This American remake of Rec does hit the things Rec did right. The claustrophobia and relentless pace continue but nothing is really added. The performances are great, Jennifer Carpenter of Dexter, did a great job as the lead. Of course, it being so close to the original makes it kind of boring to watch if you have seen Rec.
