A lot better than I remembered. I think this was oddly the first time I've watched it for analyzing rather than for pure entertainment.
It is absolutely Disney's best/most flawless work, and it's honestly pretty close to Studio Ghibli quality, both visually and storytelling wise. Too bad this will be the only and last time Disney has ever gone to such heights.
Also Scar is a top tier villain and it's depressing how insane the downgrade of his "live action" adaptation was.
