I did like this film more upon rewatch. That being said, the runtime is still fucking absurd. I feel they stretched the Oppy and Strauss conflict out waaaaay too much. I'd argue it's not even that hard to make the conclusion that Strauss was pulling the strings to begin with. Regardless, I enjoy the performances, cinematography, score, sound design, and much more. There certainly is no denying the structure of the film itself is impressive. I just don't think the way it's told is as smoothly as how it was put together. Maybe it's because I've got the attention span of a rock when it comes to something that isn't normally interesting to me. I'll admit though, similar to Air, I did kinda get invested in what was happening. Taking the deep dive into the mind of Oppenheimer was certainly engaging as there's such a darkness to him as he takes upon this massive burden. Look out, Oscars, I think Oppy's coming to blow the competition outta the water. Next Up: How do you follow up a Christopher Nolan film? With a Disney Channel film ofcourse.
