Three absolutely incredible performances. Carrie Coon brings a power to the screen that reminds me a lot of Cate Blanchett, which I consider a great compliment, she's so commanding in this. Elizabeth Olsen gets a very fun role but she was also so honest with it and affecting. Natasha Lyonne plays a role that feels written for her and makes it extra special by still surprising you...probably the best part of the movie.
A really important, naturalistic, and beautiful portrayal of grief and how a family member being at the end of their life and having to care for them impacts a family's relationships with one another. Anyone who has ever seen it happen will recognize it and get something from this.
The 35mm presentation looked beautiful as 35 always does. I felt like I was in the apartment with them because of it. Also, they gave out posters! Check this out if you are able and willing to see it in a theater that may not be around the corner, but most likely when it hits Netflix.
