this was even better on a rewatch, however i do feel like this film is best seen at home in intimate silence without a cacophony of noisy breathing sounds breaking the immersion (melbourne audiences sound like they're dying and have blocked noses) - they ruined the cave scene!!!
i also take back what i said previously about the final 15 minutes, on second watch - it was kind of perfect, flawless filmmaking imo, the final shot with the stars hit me emotionally a lot more this time around... cried. the magical realism made a lot more sense too, especially those final words of narration over the forest.
