This movie is at its worst when it’s a sequel. As its own movie, it’s incredible. The way Finn is able to interweave themes of substance withdrawal and PTSD within the language of the demon is incredible, Naomi Scott is legitimately perfect in this role, and the original songs this creates are certified bangers. I just wish we didn’t already know how this demon works so the surprises and twists ended up being more… you know surprising
