Turns out even the most creative superhero movie of the recent years is not safe from the trap of sequelitis. Maybe I would love it more if I hadn't just rewatched the first one in preparation. Into The Spiderverse was as close to a flawless movie as you can get in this day and age, striking a perfect balance between the fun, the heart, the style, and the action. The sequel is an incredible achievement in universe building, for sure. It's huge, it's bold, it's dazzling, it's obviously ambitious as hell. But some of the magic is lost.
