Damn this was pretty scary. Though I definitely have gotten better at reacting to scares, not compared to the guy in front of me haha.
The ending honestly took it down from a potential 5 to a 4. It just takes you out of the entire rest of the film. It felt like that was the case for everyone else too. Seemed like everyone started murmuring and whispering at the moment I went “hmm… I don’t like how this is ending”.
Which is unfortunate because it is a beautifully shot and lit film that does very well to make you uncomfortable and fear yet crave what is coming next.
Nic Cage is quite frankly TERRIFYING. Some of his accent comes through at times but god damn is Longlegs just so scary. Maika Monroe is also SO GOOD! She is incredibly perfect at playing such a bizarre and complex (yet almost simple) character.
