So sweet and genuine af. This kind of non-linear, honest, queer coming-of-age story could truly only be made today. All of the beautifully corny but necessary “coming-out movies” made before this have set the stage for more nuanced stories like this one — normalizing uncertainty in identity, because its not about labeling the protagonist’s sexuality by the end of the movie!! We are whole ASS human beings, aging and failing and learning. We’ve come so far!
Fantasizing about BEING Justin Bieber as a teen, opposed to being WITH Justin Bieber is so REAL and I feel seen.
