Beautiful. Stunning. Breathtaking. Just all around an incredible standout favourite I always get wrapped up in. Every single element is top tier for me. I couldn’t ask for more from a creative standpoint. The songs have been on repeat in my house for 4 years anyway but I just love how it gets consistently used with different variations. The production design is gorgeous, especially in that final sequence. So much thought and details peppered throughout that I just loved discovering on this watch. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling’s chemistry is palpable and that ending really destroyed me this time around. This film just connects with me it’s as simple as that. I know it’s cool to dunk on it for its idealism, but I’ve seen it many times now and I love it more every time.
