The Workforce Development Division operates 11 regional offices across the state. These offices are known as our local Job Center Network, and more information about each center is listed below. The Department's Burlington office is the State's federally-recognized One-Stop Job Center. This Job Center, which is operated by the Vermont Department of Labor, is part of the American Job Center Network through the U.S. Department of Labor.
Workforce development refers to activities and initiatives that match, educate, and train individuals to meet the needs of current and future businesses and industries and maintain a thriving economy. This includes individuals who are new to a company or occupation and those who are moving up within a company or organization. The Department provides workforce development services for both individuals and businesses.
