Branchiopoda sunt classis crustaceorum. Ordines Anostracorum, Cyclestheridorum, Laevicaudatorum, Spinicaudatorum, Cladocerorum, et Notostracorum, et Lepidocarem, exstinctum genus Devonianum, comprehendit. Haec animalia plerumque sunt parva, corpore segmentato, membris planis et branchias ferentibus, quae in aqua dulci planctone et detritu vescuntur.
Taxinomia
[recensere | fontem recensere]Hodierna Branchiopodum animalia per primas tractationes taxinomicas in Monoculo, unum genus, digerebantur. Taxon Branchiopoda autem a Petro Andrea Latreille anno 1817 erectum est, primum in gradu ordinis.[1]
