A Storm House a relatively big and cheap early-game building players can construct. It is slightly more than 3x expensive compared to the Small Shack, yet features a very open first and second floor, of which more than doubles the floor-space of the structure.
If one is concerned if the materials spent is worth the extra space, rest assured the Storm House yields 4-5 times the useable floor-space of The Small Shack. It also has an open-top second floor which allows the use of some external constructs as well, such as Small Wind Generators, Rain Collectors and is defensible with a rather absurd number of Mounted Crossbow emplacement points, of which have limitless ammunition.
It is a great starting structure for newer players and can be made relatively cheaply so long as a meager supply chain for Raw Stone and Building Material is established. As for more seasoned players, it makes a good, cheap and quickly build general purpose structure.
The storm house requires the research Small House to build.
Old Storm House[]
In some towns such as The Hub, Old Storm Houses may be available for purchase. There is little difference between them, aside from a higher cost for the older buildings and their slightly worn look.
Lagoon Storm House[]
In the central south east, there are some instances of Storm Houses which have external metal beams. These can be found specifically in Flats Lagoon and Secret Drug Farm.
