How Foresight and Forethought Create Fortitude

Have you ever said to yourself in hindsight, “If only I had ____________.” Most everybody has thought this at one time or another. Well if you are serious about not living your whole life in hindsight, change “if only I had” to “what if this happens” or “what if I change course now?”

When you use this approach on a regular basis, it creates your fortitude and staying power!

How Foresight and Forethought Develop Your Fortitude & Staying Power

  1. Foresight brings more opportunities into focus. Opportunities keep you vital in work and in life.

  2. Forethought helps you to analyze which opportunities are best and how best to make them happen. This strengthens your chances for success.

  3. Foresight and forethought help prevent crashes. Fewer crashes equal more successes. And more successes sustain your morale!

  4. The combination of your foresight and forethought are very attractive to many — employers, managers, teammates, and customers. The combination never becomes obsolete and it keeps you vital.

  5. Moreover, the combination triggers you to assess your life’s priorities. As you ask yourself what if — you inevitably think through how that will impact your personal and professional life. It may trigger you to apply your knowledge and skills to a new job in a more current field. It might spur you to relocate for better work and life balance. This keeps you vital and happy.

Summary

Simply put, make foresight and forethought part of your daily regimen. It builds your resilience, fortitude, and staying power. The combination led me to start my own business and I never looked back. It can also guide you in your personal life too — finding the people that will be there for you and sidestepping those who would wear you down.
