This was extremely captivating. Probably the favorite I’ve played so far. Everything is really cohesive and polished. And the art is prettyyyy
If there’s one annoyance, it’s the damn controls. I’m always getting confused between C and X. I need to take a few moments to register which one is put down/pick up and which one is use, and constantly press the wrong one causing my stuff to drop, or using the watering can/shears by accident
I also wish there was some hang time when reaching the top of the flower, as it’s easy to miss the input. Or maybe automatically boost you up if you don’t press anything.
A bug I had encountered was the first time I played, I didn’t know what to do and the flower grew by itself (leftwards). Afterwards, no matter how much I watered it, it would not grow. I thought I was doing something wrong. Restarted and everything was okay. I’m glad I didn’t give up.
Great job!!
Fun little… big? game! I really like how the objects you’re dropping are based on actual objects and get bigger (instead of just scaling up arbitrary blocks). I had to restart a few times on the first level because i thought there would be horizontal momentum on the dropping. So I would let it go moments where I wanted it to drop. Love the ending of showing the tower you make. Great job overall!
I enjoy the idea of falling for weight, but the platforming is unnecessarily difficult and unforgiving. It’s very easy to miss input and be unable to jump. To add on to other commenter, the core of this game is “sizing”. The platforming sections have nothing to do with sizing: they just require to be a specific size, and make specific jumps, meaning the platforming and scaling is completely separated. So, I hope you could use scaling to make the platforming sections more interesting. I hope I was not too harsh :) This was a good entry for a first timer!
This is a cute little game! My main gripes with it is it’s not very obvious what creatures are the same size as you, and the size scale when changing is not obvious as well (what is 1 unit?!). It feels a bit unforgiving (once you’re cornered you can’t escape due to the hitbox sizes), maybe there could be a dash mechanic of sorts. All in all though it was pretty fun!
The art is very lovely! I wish there was more variation in the mechanics, as shooting pelicans moving in a straight line for 300 seconds (ok, I lost at around 50s left) isn’t exactly the most fun. I think even something like switching up the movement could be fun (ie. pelican moving left and right). I also feel like capybara could scale smaller the more you shoot, instead of just over time – that would make the player be more wary of spamming. Good work overall!
Cute and funny little game! It was fun while it lasted. Damn horny rabbits. My biggest complaint would be that the game ramps up too slowly. At the start of the game so much time was spent dragging bunnies when there was very little challenge! Also maybe would be good if the bunnies “scrambled” a bit before multiplying, which would give you some timeframe to split the bunnies from lovemaking. Overall, had some fun. Great job!
Really love the concept, and had fun! But eventually found the mechanic to frustrating (I stopped at the level detailing methods/habits to stop/prevent RLS). I feel that the tight level design doesn’t really fit the jumpiness and travel of the character well. Overall though, it was fun and I liked the minimal presentation. Good job!
Firstly, great atmosphere! The music works really well. On the other hand I’m quite conflicted – I was really lost playing this game, and felt like all the actions were ineffective. Is the goal to stay alive as long as possible, or is there no goal at all? Overall, I really like the idea, and there’s definitely potential.
