I'm very excited for this!  I'm thinking of making a game based on my experience with BPD.

It would be good to see the example pages shown in the image on the page--it's kind of hard for me to think about condensing this to one page, and seeing how it could be executed would really help.

Gotcha!  I have heard of both of those things, but I've never read them.  I'll check out the updated PDF!

I really like this game, and would like to run it for the upcoming Dexlite in July.  I am curious about whether the parents should have abilities, and if there will be more gameplay mechanics.  There's a lot of good stuff for roleplay here, but not as much gameplay I think.

A premade adventure?  Amazing!  I'm hyped to see it! C:

Hey!  When I read the premise, the first thing I thought of was tying my game into the April version of the Eternal TTRPG Jam.  If I did, I would want my words to be Storms & Fools, to fit the theme of the jam.  But since those words weren't randomly generated, I wanted to check if that would be ok first.

This is absolutely amazing!  I definitely want to use those stamps in something.

Thank you! (offers tissues)

So bad news: neither browser worked.  Good news: I switched devices and it was ok then?  Except for Episode 7, that one I can't download no matter what I try, for whatever reason.  I'll try to reach out via email soon.  Thanks for all of the help!

Hi!  I'm downloading from the United States, the northeast to be more specific.  I am using Chrome, so that could explain the issue; perhaps I can try Firefox?  I'll look into that.

I'm just pressing the download button on my PC.  I'm not sure why I'm having this issue, sorry.

I'm trying to download the videos, but for most of them I get the error, "File wasn't available on site."  Is this a Chrome thing or something that is fixable?

Would you be able to post a pdf with each individual page as well, instead of the zine folds?

This is fantastic!!!

The 1.1 version is much easier to read now; I appreciate the better contrast!  I like the example encounters you made; it really helps clarify the mechanics.  Just to be clear, the degrading mental faculties are the 8 in the table, correct?  It would help if the pages were numbered so you could say exactly what page they're on.

You are being incredibly, unbelievably rude, and I do not appreciate it.  Constructive criticism is one thing, but this is a whole different level.  I'm astonished and repulsed.

If you read the description, you will see that this game was originally intended for 2 jams about making intentionally bad video games.  That's why the game is what it is.

Is that a good thing?  I don’t understand.

In your browser.

Damn.  This is really good.

I love this, it's so good!  My only complaint is that I tried to clean my room, but I apparently didn't do it right because when I came back from a task, all of the trash was back on the floor. 💀 Lmao!

Here's what my journal looked like!

In the original PDF, the dark pink bg with light pink text is very hard to read; there's not enough contrast.  The accessible PDF is much appreciated for that reason.

Aside from that, a page saying how many players are needed & what items are needed to play the game, along with setup, would really help clarify things.  I'm also a bit confused about the game mechanics and the possible setting(s).  What are "active mental states"?  Why would I roll for something like heart rate?

The bones of a great game are here, but it doesn't feel fully fleshed out yet.  I look forward to seeing more of this!

Pretty much perfect

(1 edit)

I ran this game multiple times when I was in some mental healthcare facilities--it really brought out a creative side of people that you didn't always get to see there.  Now I'm going to be running it for a little TTRPG event, and I'm so excited!

Update: The TTRPG event (Dreamation) went really well!  People loved the game and were very immersed.  They also liked my homebrew ending, which was nice to see!  I love this game and am grateful that it exists!

I was able to finish it!  I had to use Easy Mode for all of the bosses lol.  It was fun and I appreciated both of the characters' personal journeys (I'm transmasc).  Great job!

Awesome, thank you!  Yeah, I have a laptop and a trackpad, so that's probably adding to my difficulty.  I'll give it another try!

I like it a lot so far, but the "shoot the troll" minigame is insanely difficult.  I can't get past it; I can barely damage him at all. :C

Aw, this is so adorable!  The ending text really resonated with me.

The game is an html file. . .

So neat!  Is the picture on the last page the garden you made?

Haha, thank you! ^u^

Hello!  Wanted to let you know that we've made a sequel! https://norbez.itch.io/to-train-a-killer-last-winter I'd love it if you could check it out, if you have the time!  No pressure though.

So bittersweet & beautiful, I loved it.  Is this your first game?  It's amazing!

Also, what Twine stylesheet is that?

Tysm for playing!  I'm glad you found it to be wholesome! C:

How did you make that chat format in Twine? It looks amazing!

Aw, tysm! <3 I'm glad you liked it!

Yeah, basically!

Tysm!  I love exploring Glarence & Adiel's early days in my writing, and I'm glad I got to show it in a game!

Thank you!  Josh & Khai did a great job voicing Glarence & Adiel!
