Very impressive! Right the start hooked me. It was very cinematic. The level design was amazing and the atmosphere was on point. The only thing that was a bit underwhelming was the caught-cutscene. And for me personally, it could have been way darker - this would have also made the flashlight more useful. :)

Nevertheless one of my favourite submissions for the Franken Game Jam.

Very interesting game. Especially the “phone world”. I also clipped once more and expected to dive even deeper into the outer boundaries. But unfortunately I did not. Maybe I lost myself and explored it too much. :D

Great submission and take on the theme!

Very nice that you went for a horror game in the Franken game jam! Really appreciate it. Besides that it had some technical and game design hiccups, I see a lot of potential in the idea.

One thing that could be improved, is the pacing. The game leans into the horror atmosphere right from the start, with all the effects/ambient background already on. You’re already burning a lot of powder here, that you could use later on to build up. For me it also was a missed opportunity that the locked room was empty. I would have expected an unique story beat. E.g. a hint what happened in this family. But the flashback visuals were also amazing, as was the level design itself! In overall a very cool submission! :)

P.S.: If something makes no sense, maybe it’s on me. I played it on Linux in a virtual environment.

Nice atmosphere! I also loved the level design, felt very skyrim-ish and eerie. :) Unfortunately I got stuck, after I found the golden statue. I found another character trapped, but was not able to free them or get past them.

One thing that I missed, was the sound of my footsteps. But that could be on me, since I played it on Linux on Bottles.

Thank you very much for the bug report. I finally had time to look into it. I tried it on Linux/Chromium with different zoom levels and fullscreen, but I was not able to reproduce it.

I will try it on Windows again the next days.

Unlike in scrabble you only get points if all letters are used.

There are two types of wiggly texts in Obgoose. The one is hand drawn and not specific to Godot. The other is a shader and is only used for the letter on the pieces. That one was shared by another developer.

What do you mean? Which language did you use? I tried to use similar rules to the official scrabble.

It’s a word game. Similar to scrabble.

Thank you very much for the feedback! I am very happy that you also took an interest in Regensburg outside of the game. :)

Thank you very much! :)

This game definitely has a high replay value!

Impressive concept! The progression of difficulty may be a bit re-ranged, but it’s nevertheless a very cool puzzle platformer!

simple idea, but great implementation! I had lots of fun playing it. I think there should be a penalty for not using blocks. I found myself killing blocks, to get a more fitting block. :D

Yeah! The gameplay is a bit repetitive, but I had a great time playing this submission. :) grafik.png

Great mechanics and nice art! I would have loved checkpoints. :)

Thanks for the insight how you approached the issue. It was interesting to read. :)

Awesome font. Keep up the good work!

Nice to see a Vermis inspired game - Especially imitating the “print” optics of the book. I also fiddled a bit around to reproduce the look as a side project, so I must say, you nailed it quite well! :)

Unfortunately my decisions in the game had no impact at all? But I must admit, it would be hard to design and implement impactful decisions for a 48h game jam entry.

Nevertheless a cool and inspiring game!

A common way would be to show what is required and highlight the still missing parts in red. That could mean that you show the base icon with the necessary resources (x trees, y stones) and color the missing resource in red. Or in case of the converting, a red base could be shown. Although this would not solve all problems.

At some point of time the game must communicate, what is the goal of the game. For a jam game the simplest solution is a wall of text.

Minimalist, but nevertheless a very cool idea! :) At some point all my fleet was destroyed before a new wave started. I was not sure if this was a bug or a balance thing.

First round: 4:54, 237 killed enemies, 11 waves.

Nice mechanics and idea, but it’s lacking an onboarding experience. I needed one run to figure out, what can and should be done. In general only having an icon is ambigious. An text overlay, what a key press does or why something is currently not possible (building a base, converting someone), would help a lot.

Wow, what an amazing game. Definitely one of my favorite entry for this jam. I like the atmosphere, story, style and the sound design. Keep up the great work! :)

Typically I play on my tower. But I was outside with my laptop and wanted to try some entries. So it’s definitely not very common that the right mouse button is hard to access. :D

This game has a lot of potential. I love the world building, but I think there are some missed opportunities to build up some atmosphere. I guess some sounds would do the trick. Nevertheless it was fun to play this entry and experience what you did with the theme! :)

Really cool color palette and graphics. The audio was also fine, though the voice acting was a bit too silent for me. I also like the ideas in this game, but they could have been built up a bit better. Nevertheless a great entry! :)

Great gameplay, it first feels a bit clunky, but as soon as I got the hang of it, I really liked it. Also the ending was scary - at first. ;)

Interesting concept. Also nice build-up of the atmosphere. I would have loved an alternative input system, cause left and right click was not optimal to play it on laptop.

The art is really outstanding. Also the cutscenes contribute very well to the atmosphere. Although I must admit, that I didn’t fully understand what was going on. But maybe that was part of the design. Great work!

Thanks for playing. Maybe that’s a story for another time to tell. ;)

Thanks for playing! :)

Thanks for letting me know. I was able to debug it. It seems to be related to NVIDIA GPUs and how they treat UVs. I deactivated one shader. Now it should work.

Edit: If someone facing the same issue. Make sure that you are using the newest version (>=1.1).

Sorry to hear that. Can you provide details on your setup and maybe the command line output?

I tested it mainly on Linux, but a quick test on Windows also looked fine.

I like the aesthetics very much. Very eerie and ominous. I am not entirely sure, but there seem to be a skill menu, but I clicked it away, because I was in the middle of shooting something. :D

thanks for the feedback :)

I removed the browser version, cause it ran not that well on some devices.

I love this “simple” idea and how well it is executed. Very cool game. :)

Amazing game. I love it!

Very cool and outstanding graphics! I love it! :)

Thank you for playing and your interest in that game. Unfortunately I will not continue working on that game.
