Hey People,
I'm Marc from germany and i'm working on a 3D Third Person Action RPG (almost souls like combat) with farming elements( like lite version of Stardew Valley) as a Programmer and i need people to work together with on that thing.
An Inspiration for the game would be Mirthwood ( currently in Development but there is a free demo on steam - no ad) but fully 3D and not top down.
What is already implemented:
Saving and Loading, Combat AI, Crafting , Inventory and Equipment-switching, Dialog System ,Quest System and some important components like interactables and damagables are implemented and working so far.
I'm not looking for Programmers or complete beginners. You should have a small portfolio or something to show me if you are interested.
You are welcome to join if you can do:
- 3D Assets AND OR Animations
- Game Design AND OR World Building

If you want to join see this as an opportunity to build a portfolio and work on a slightly bigger project than the typical gamejam game.
Right now i'm implementing the farming system.
Important for 3D Artists: The style of the game would be defined by a technical limitation. To Reuse The Same Skeleton the characters body parts are not connected. yeah , sounds weird but actually doesnt look that bad. I already wrote a little lore around that so it makes sense in the game world.
I uploaded a little video of the prototype concept. (crafting, dialog and questing is not shown here and the farming is currently very basic, Animations are pretty lame for combat right now because i use mixamo animations with root motion )
very nice game ! i love the music ,the atmosphere and narration which really work great together and hook you instantly. i love the artstyle and the environment you play in and the fact that you are a human and also part of the immune system inside the human which is ( a little bit abstract ) but for me personally a nice integration of the theme. the jiggly / bouncy controls feel very nice and smooth. my only critique points would be the 1. - key bindings. i had to use both hands for controlling the character (WASD) , healing( SHIFT) and dashing(SPACE) .The first ability i got is shooting (LEFT MOUSEBUTTON) which felt a little bit off when using two hands for keyboard controls. 2. - the ability system. maybe it was explained in the beginning and i didnt catch it but when i played got the shooting first and then i picked up another ability.. i guess which the 3 arrows. i didt get how i activate it mouse buttons didnt seem to activate it. and the last critique would be these narrows spaces i could not fit in :D maybe theres a shrinking ability which i didnt get but that was the moment where i got stuck . All in all for me compared to other gamejams i did in the past one of the best entrys. well done and my respect for working in a 8 headed team. i imagine handling such a big team with different skills and oppinions beeing a challenge inside the Game Jam Challenge itself.
maybe a litte bit too late for the jam but someone told me its hard to understand how to play the game so here a little bit more info: you can see the controls when pressing "TAB" on your keyboard. For the Gameplay itself : there are only specific areas that do not drain your health you have to stay in them or sacrifice a collected soul to regain health with "space" . the main goal is to get the 2 legendary souls which you find by exploring. There are 2 types of trigger puzzles. The white triggers you have to navigate your boat inside to open a door. the coloured trigger areas you have to put the orb inside which has the same color ( red to red, blue to blue ...) you can pull the orbs towards you board if they are in a certain distance to you. thats basicly all you need to know .If you have collected 80 souls you can get an upgrade by trading souls for coins. you can also trade coins for souls in case you want to have a "reserve" to sacrifice for health. Hope that helps :)

i really enjoyed playing your game it was so fun and i got all the levels and the last one was quite a challenge but very satifying when you solve it. at the beginning i thought it would be nice to have a button to skip one jump to move a little bit faster when wanted but later on i needed all the time to think. very very well done and Fun 5/5 stars for me
the gameplay is not very straight forward ( i did not really know what to do) but you did a really good job with the tutorial which i guess would explain everything. i personally like games more that are easier to understand but dont explain much so theres this Aaahahh effect while exploring. But overall a nice concept. good job :)
yeah i agree with alice liu. the concept is great. and its a nice mechanic that you can remove tiles with the tools to make a way for the goblins. but it needs some instruction text but the buttons to press. oh and the only button that had a text was the press N to go to next level which did not work for me.
i watched a tutorial for the curves. its easier than thought. i have a screenshot of the editor in unity. you interpolate between 2 points to create a linear motion( a line) and then interpolate from the last point to another to create another line. when you now interpolate between those 2 lines you get a curve. in the tutorial i heard " Lerp untill you run out of things to lerp " :D
