Fun little game. Like the simple "How to play" screen you had at the main screen. It explained everything I needed to know. Is the location of the keys randomized? I got very lucky in the last level, found the key very early and then just had to walk down the long hallway.
Cool game! One of the first I've played in this jam that didn't require mashing buttons to win. The sound and gameplay was good (maybe some background could have been nice). The only thing I would say (which might be a browser bug or you ran out of time) is that there was no visible effect when right clicking to attack the ghosts. Another minor one was that the last level was a bit long, too many places to check for the key.
Great game overall!
I like the 3D design for the game! The flashlight effect looks nice too! I wasn’t sure how to interact with objects and couldn’t find the key unfortunately. I think adding some bgm would be nice. Adding the controls in the description would definitely help as well. Overall looks good so far!
Nice submission especially for your first.
The graphics were simple and straightforward as were the controls, only complaint is the interaction was seemed laggy - having a progress bar or animation would have helped explain the time it takes.
Once I got used to the interaction time the game was fun, maybe a little more a challenge would have been welcomed.
Music would have been nice as would more levels.
But overall, it was a good submission - keep them coming
I really liked this game, it was super fun killing the ghosts with the flashlight like Luigi's Mansion. The controls were really smooth and I liked having to balance searching for the key with killing the ghosts. Great job, I wish there were more levels so I could keep playing!
Nice jam game. Simple and to the point. Great vertical slice. With more polish and content, you could do a full release. I wished it had some music. And there should be a button to restart the game in the pause and game over menus. Also, imho I think the player should be able to rotate quicker. But that's just a more modern take. I've played Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark so I know how clunky and tanky those controls can feel yet the game still is excellent. Also, maybe add a "searching" meter so the player knows what's happening besides the audio and player animation feature or make the animation more apparent. Adding a few more lights like omni and spot lights for lamps/in-ceiling fixtures could add more to the atmosphere. I enjoyed the levels and searching for the keys and fending off the ghosts. I think those aspects are well paced. Great job!
Good game. Had fun playing it.
I enjoyed playing it, love how well the minimalistic 3d artwork works in context of perspective, also, controls feel good and sound effects are fun!
I like the artstyle, cool luigi's mansion inspired flashlight, I think that searching the cupboards got a little repetitive but overall pretty good game.
I love that the vases drop when I walk near them.
Hello ! First game that I came across and managed to finish ahah! Nice one, I like the inspiration from Luigi's Mansion, it was a fun little game.
I couldn't find the key in level 2 and gave up because it was feeling a bit repetitive... I like the flashlight mechanic, but maybe it would be good to darken everything down so it feels a bit spookier and you can't see much outside of the beam
Clear and straightforward to play though it was a little confusing that sometimes the suits of armor triggered, and sometimes didn't. Not sure if they were on a timer, but I did like that they provided another level of danger. Would be nice to have a music track background to offset the repeating sounds
Short and fun! I like the low-poly aesthetic as well. The audio got a little grating, though. I ended up getting the key really early in the last level, and just ran for it. I liked that knocking over pottery seemed to draw the ghosts, too, and it was very hard to avoid doing.
Great work! I look forward to seeing more.
