The intro scene was very engaging and set up this very creative application of the jam's theme!

You really took it that extra step

Changing the level layout depending on scaling assets in it!? Great and well executed idea!

Crashed few times when scale broke but thank you for letting me continue from selected level in main menu!

One very important thing I was missing the whole game is... characters nose :P

Good job!

Developer

Thanks! Too few pixels to add a nose lol

Really good polish and I like the bits of story! Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much!

This is pretty cool. I did get my game crashed on my first run though. But you already had written the fixes in the description so I could move my way around.
The scaling mechanic is pretty cool. I love how you used scroll wheel to scale it up and down. The jump felt a bit awkward at times but its manageable. The cat is a nice touch. Feels good to know you are not alone and you have a companion with you. Overall, great work. Would love to play this again when the bugs are fixed!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! The bug has already been fixed but unfortunately we can't update it anymore :'(

I'll let Mochi know she has another fan <3

Really loved the double interpretation of the theme. The presentation was great too.

Developer

Thank you! <3

The art style is very good! I love the fact that the levels take place on a literal scale AND you can scale objects. It is a very unique addition! Well done!

Developer(+1)

Tried to use the term "scale" in different ways. And as the artist, thank you very much!

The style is very sweet and the cat is adorable!

I tried to start three times and only on my second run did I get a tutorial, not sure how that happened :D

The scaling mechanic is fun, though the jumping sequences need some patience :) But maybe it's just me, not very good at platformers heheh

A nice entry!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game! May I ask what do you mean by getting a tutorial only on your "second run". Was it a bug or something else? Curious because I like to bugfix and polish a bit after jams.

Submitted

I checked again and it seems that sometimes I get into the second level instead of the first one, but I am not exactly sure how it happens. Here is the video: https://gyazo.com/b78819871a4eaecc47234bdc727e7ab2

I see, thanks very much. It's probably to do with the size of the window, I'll change it to see the effects. I should put that full-screen is recommended too.

Submitted

Yeah, I had the same problem in the fulscreen, small screen was just for the sake of recording a video :)

Developer(+1)

OOOH, the texture is a diamond but is processed like a square, thanks for helping me find the problem!

Glad to help!

The idea is pretty cool, sadly I experienced many crashs during the first level :(

Developer

so many crashes, all because one line of code was missing...
Later levels are bug-free if you want to try them out.

Nice idea with  beautiful art. Well done!

I could never get just the right scale when resizing items to do the platforming.

Developer

Admittedly it takes a bit of finagling.

Its so pretty and the movement felt so smooth, but I couldn't get past the scale bit without it crashing :(

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! It's a known problem that if you fail that level, it crashes. Just don't tip the scales too far and it'll be fine. But it will defs be fixed after the jam. :)

  • Great premisew that uses the theme well
  • Great graphics and music
  • Fantastic scaling idea, and the controls feel good. Mouse wheel controls are a great idea!
  • Default frame is a bit too small
  • The game seems to crash when I topple over the scale, so I didn’t get very far
Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much for your feedback! The crashing issue is a known bug. But can't do much about it until the voting is over. Just don't lose haha. Thanks for playing anyway!

I loved the style and music of this game, and the way you incorporated the jam theme was really creative! I especially loved Mochi :)

Developer

Thank you so much! I'll let her know she has another fan haha

Great artstyle and fun vibes. Very smart/fun putting scaling on the scroll wheel!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

This game made me feel really nostalgic for some reason, the style of the animation reminded me of games I used to play when I was younger. Very cute cozy vibes, loved it! It got stuck for me at one point but I think its because I was messing too  much with the power of making things bigger. Overall, great job! Love the cat:)

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much! The cat sound is actually my real cat, Mochi. I'll let her know she has a fan lol

Omg, I love that<3
