Dalam artikel penalaran disebutkan lambang dan bahasa adalah lambang yang digunakan oleh kognisi untuk melakukan penalaran. Rasanya istilah lambang kurang tepat, karena dalam bahasa aslinya (inggris), biasanya digunakan kata "symbol" sehingga "bahasa sebagai simbol yang digunakan oleh penalaran" lebih sesuai pengertiannya. Simbol biasanya berupa kode-kode (bahasa disini diartikan sebagai kode2 fonetik) sementara pengertian istilah "lambang" haruslah merupakan suatu kode yang utuh, misalnya lambang negara atau lambang olimpiade. --Ira Silva 12:14, 11 Juli 2008 (UTC)
