Common Bond, the beloved Houston bakery known for its perfect croissants and killer breads, has officially debuted its third location in the Heights.
Its new 75-seat home (449 West 19th Street) sits in Heights Waterworks, the bustling development that’s already home to Austin-based Hopdoddy Burger Bar and vegan restaurant Verdine, among other eateries in the works. The 5-year-old bakery, which got its start in Montrose, added a second outpost at The Medical Center earlier this year, and another is expected to arrive at Downtown food hall Understory sometime in 2020.
This latest 3,200-square-foot location ramps up the chain’s family-friendly vibes with a new all-day kid’s menu and outdoor green space primed for activities in the spring. For adults, there’s a fancy WineEMotion self-dispensing machine that pours out glasses of vino purchased with a pre-paid card, alongside eight beers on tap.
Common Bond is now open seven days a week, starting at 7 a.m., for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch on the weekends.
