Mango Mango Dessert, a New York-based chain known for its juices, desserts, and ice creams, will soon swing open the doors in Asiatown.
The Houston outpost of Mango Mango will open its doors at 10603 Bellaire Boulevard later this week, inside Saigon Houston Plaza and right next to iconic Vietnamese eatery Kim Son. The shop is known for its uniquely mango-focused menu, with dishes like a chilled mango soup, mango ice cream, fresh mango juices, and mango pancakes.
Fortunately for folks who don’t enjoy the bright orange fruit, Mango Mango offers plenty of dessert options that don’t involve mango. There’s a green tea mille crepe cake on the menu, durian pancakes, waffle ice cream sandwiches, and a green tea sundae served with red beans. A selection of hot teas and dairy-free slushes made with seasonal fruits like cantaloupe and strawberry is also on offer.
Mango Mango Dessert will quietly make its Asiatown debut on February 27. The shop will be open from 12 p.m. until sold out. On March 3, the shop will open for full business hours, from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
