On the heels of announcing that Japanese teppanyaki Pepper Lunch will debut at Bellaire Food Street, the development has confirmed its fourth vendor, gourmet popsicle shop Popfancy.

Popfancy owner Chris Doan tells Eater that he’s aiming for a May 2019 debut. The Houston popsicle purveyor already operates a handful of outposts around Space City, mostly within shopping hubs like the Galleria, Memorial City, Katy Mills, and The Woodlands malls. Eateries like Tubs Poutine, Jimmy Changa’s, and Gringo’s Tex-Mex also stock the pops.

The shop offers both dairy and non-dairy popsicle varieties. Flavors change constantly according to the website, and some current offerings in the non-dairy category include mangonada with chamoy sauce, a non-alcoholic champagne pear flavor, and hibiscus raspberry. Dairy-infused varieties include a delectable sounding taro flavor made with sweetened condensed milk, lavender matcha green tea, plus a relatively new flavor: birthday cake made with cake batter and sprinkles.

At Bellaire Food Street, Popfancy will join Pepper Lunch, which was just announced this week, plus Migo, a Saigon street food eatery, and Meet Fresh, a Taiwanese chain for shaved ice, along with a 10,000 square-foot food hall. Five more vendors have yet to be announced.

Stay tuned for more information on Popfancy’s opening date and the as-yet-unnamed eateries.
