MytiBurger Only Mostly Dead, Reopening Soon

Just when it seemed Oak Forest institution MytiBurger was gone for good, Shawn Salyers, who owns a Baskin Robbins in Oak Forest, has purchased the business from former owner Kathy Reynolds-Green and plans to reopen it tomorrow. Salyers tells Heights-area newspaper The Leader that he has several changes planned for the restaurant including adding free WiFi and a shaded, outdoor seating area. Part of Salyers motivation to step in came from the outpouring of support Mytiburger received prior to its closing when customers lined up outside the door for one last meal. “Seeing that level of affection and how passionate people were about it did influence my decision,” he said.
