1) As reported by 29-95’s recent article full of Beaumont lovin’, Luke’s Icehouse opened its second location last Tuesday. In case you missed the Plywood Report, the new bar is located on Durham in the spot previously occupied by Cahill’s. The restaurant went through a rather large makeover before re-opening and, most notably, received a brand new outdoor patio. In addition to typical bar food, the icehouse boasts “Houston’s Longest Happy Hour,” which takes place seven days a week from 11am to 7pm. Yep, that’s over 50 hours of happiness per week. 2) In other icehouse news, the guys from Little Bitty Burger Barn opened Crazy J’s in Oak Forest. While it is a beer-and-wine only establishment, patrons can soak up their beverages with food from its burger barn brothers at no delivery charge. The new locale has several entertainment options including pool, darts, and five HDTVs for sports watching. Happy Crazy Hour is every day from 2pm to 7pm, however the bar offers special Crazy Hour prices every time a train passes. Choo Choo! Status: Certified open; Facebook, Official Site. [Eaterwire]

3) Estate Lounge has officially opened in the seemingly cursed location in Upper Kirby (most recently, Yelapa Playa Mexicana). However, the lounge-y space seems to work well, so hopefully it will be more successful than its predecessors. The dark and intimate area has been re-vamped with three bars (downstairs, upstairs, and outside), indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and a spacious dance floor. The coolest part? The library shelves on the back wall double as the entrance to the restroom. And a general reminder that the parking situation sucks, so be prepared for plan B: cab it, pay $10 for valet, or hop a ride on the Washington Wave. Status: Certified open; Official site. [Eaterwire]
