If you would like to use the migration service, please send your request using the form on this page. Our support team will then contact you by phone or e-mail to discuss what’s involved. We then carry out the migration exactly in accordance with your wishes. Following a check on the migrated services together with you, we complete the migration work. In a final step, you confirm that your website is working as expected and you are happy with the outcome.

Yes, you can cancel the relevant contracts for your web hosting, domains and e-mail accounts with your current provider at the end of the process. However, we recommend that you do not do this until all your data has been successfully migrated. This way you can make sure that everything works smoothly.

Costs are generally only incurred for the new contracts concluded with Hostpoint (web hosting, domains, E-mail & Cloud Office). For domains, however, we will credit you for the balance of the subscription term already paid to your current registrar, provided that the relevant registry allows this.
Depending on the domain extension, you may also incur transfer fees, but not for .ch domains. You can find the transfer fee for each domain extension on our domain page.
A website migration typically takes only a few hours, and the same goes for migrating your e-mails. The domain transfer time depends on the domain extension – for .ch domains, it’s usually only a matter of minutes.
Our migration team will action your request as soon as possible and give you an idea of how long it should take when initially contacting you about your request. However, we recommend that you allow sufficient time for the migration.
