Who we are

We have been supporting the renowned Spengler Cup in Davos since 2023. Today, it is considered one of the most prestigious ice hockey tournaments in the world. In the last week of each year, hosts HC Davos face-off with teams from Europe’s top leagues and Team Canada. As a Gold Partner, Hostpoint’s branding appears in prominent positions on the ice, in the stadium and on various communication media.

We have a long-standing partnership and local ties with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. The club from the “City of Roses” on Lake Zurich (which is also the home of Hostpoint) plays in the National League, Switzerland’s top tier of professional ice hockey. Not only have we hosted the Lakers web site for more than 20 years, but as a Gold Sponsor our branding appears on the ice, signs and jerseys.

Hostpoint has also had a partnership with HC Davos, the second ice hockey team in the Swiss National League, for many years. The HCD holds the Swiss record for championship titles and hosts the annual Spengler Cup. Hostpoint is responsible for web hosting for the club’s website and has a variety of advertising placed throughout the stadium at home matches.

From 2025, Hostpoint will be a main sponsor of the Swiss floorball Superfinal. In swiss unihockey’s Superfinal, both finals of the Swiss women’s and men’s floorball championships are played on the same day. Hostpoint has a presence in the form of floor and perimeter advertising.

Every year, the best Swiss websites and web projects are selected as part of the Best of Swiss Web competition. Organized by the specialist publisher Netzmedien, this award ceremony has developed into one of the most prestigious events in the Swiss tech industry in its more than 20-year history and is highly regarded by clients and agencies. Hostpoint supports this event as a main partner and category sponsor.

Similar to Best of Swiss Web, Netzmedien also organizes the Best of Swiss Apps award ceremony. This award series, which has been running since 2013, recognizes the best Swiss smartphone and web apps of the year. Hostpoint is one of the main partners here, too, with a category sponsorship.

The third award series from Netzmedien is the Best of Swiss Software. Here, the best Swiss software and system integration projects are recognized. The aim is to support innovation and highlight outstanding achievements. Hostpoint has been the main partner of this award, which is presented as part of the Best of Swiss Apps competition, since its launch in 2024.

We are not only active in the field of sports and trade events, but also in the field of culture. For example, we have been supporting the OpenAir St. Gallen, one of the oldest and largest music festivals in Switzerland, for many years. Launched back in 1977, it has been held every summer at the Sittertobel in St. Gallen since 1981. Hostpoint is the technology partner and hosting provider for the OpenAir St. Gallen website.

Hostpoint is also involved in education. For example, we support the interdisciplinary Smartfeld initiative, which is committed to preparing children and young people for the challenges of the digital age. As part of the Canton of St. Gallen’s IT education campaign, Smartfeld offers inspiring learning and experimentation spaces in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Hostpoint has been supporting Smartfeld as its Gold Business Partner since 2022.

We are also a member of the <IT>rockt! campaign, which is an association of companies, educational institutions and network partners committed to promoting the competitiveness of the ICT sector in eastern Switzerland. There are regular events and training and development opportunities for specialists and a job platform for ICT positions in eastern Switzerland. Hostpoint has been a member of <IT>rockt! since 2022.

The quality seal swiss hosting was developed by the label “swiss made software” and may only be used by Swiss hosting providers with headquarters and data location in Switzerland. This is to mark the Swissness and quality of the local hosting industry. Hostpoint has been bearing the label since its launch in 2020.
