Yae Sakura is a playable character in Honkai Impact 3rd. The wiki currently recognizes 3 noteworthy independent incarnations of the character:
- Main Universe Yae Sakura - a shrine priestess and protector of Yae Village from the Current Era who met Kallen Kaslana during the latter's search for the Celestial to ultimately seal the Herrscher of Corruption contained within a box Kallen had with her. Her story strongly revolves around the Herrscher and the consequences of Yae meeting her as well as Yae's personal relationship with Kallen.
- Main Universe Sakura - an anti-Honkai warrior from the Previous Era who belonged to the MOTHs and later became one of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. A digital sim of the same name resides in Elysian Realm. The original Sakura and the sim are similar in various aspects and their stories are seamlessly intertwined.
- Alternate Universe Yae Kasumi - a ninja tasked with infiltration of Yae Machi to retrieve powerful runes. During her quest, she uncovers untold secrets from her past. She reappears in multiple stories featuring bubble universes that happen after her original story was concluded as ninja-for-hire.

Trivia
- Her old profile listed her age as Unknown and her "three sizes" as Unknown.
- During April Fools 2018, Yae Sakura's male counterpart was announced to replace her with the next version update.[3] This, of course, never happened.
- During her birthday in 2019, MiHoYo made two 3D sculptures of her.[4][5]
