What I think of Hilda...
I think it's a very unique show with many art styles, compare to Bluey. I think it's a beautiful show and a mysterious content. This show deserves a 100/100
Why did the Fairies pull people into Fairy Country?
I was curious why there did that, It said they even pull people and objects into Fairy Country using so called Watchtowers. So I was wounding what the reason is so I thought I asked here.
How Hilda changed my life (no, really)
It was late 2018, l've just moved from my quiet hometown to a large city (which also happens to Hilda in the show but that's purely coincidental). I really struggled to cope with moving, being an introvert and all.
So my dad was demoing our new smart TV, showing Netflix stuff.
That's when I saw Hilda, with a thumbnail that I'm still searching for to this very day.
With my instability at that time, I’m not sure why but my inferiority complex kicked in and seeing this girl do things that I can't…
…made me go "well, if you can't beat 'em, join ‘em”.
And that’s how you get gender dysphoria from a kids show.
To this day I’m obsessed with the show, and though the dysphoria wore off after a year or so, I still relapse every now and then.
Is it a bad thi…
No Nazism in here!
Well, yes. I'm doing here a post about the war a month later. What a shame for two reasons at once… Well, okay! I just want to say something.
In fact, I would not have made this entry if just yesterday I had not stumbled upon the very first post about the war. I will not name the author of that blog, you can find out about it with just two clicks. The point is different. It's about calling the whole of Russia a fascist state. In addition, I saw some more people accusing the Russian people of Nazism in general. Should I say it's wrong?
See what's the problem? We are ALL mired in Nazism. Russians in relation to Ukrainians, and we in relation to Russians. And is it right? Does this suit everyone? There are many people in Russia who also want pe…
NO WAR!!!
We all know who is the aggressor in the war that started yesterday.
Russia is a fascist state.
The West needs a tougher response.

Deerfox Episode
An idea came to me. Maybe in Season 3, Hilda could turn into a deerfox and be able to communicate with Twig. How cool is that?
Kaisa gallery
Hi! :>
I tried to put things in order in Kaisa's gallery. I sorted the pictures in chronological order, removed the excess, added captions. I want to ask you for help. Please add more pictures from different episodes and from different scenes to her gallery. It is desirable that these are shots that reveal Kaisa as a character, or shots that evoke strong emotions in those who love Kaisa. And then I'll put the gallery in order.
You can also write me a private message with a suggestion to do the same with the gallery of other characters.
Gamera/Hilda crossover
A crossover story idea I suddenly came up with being a huge kaiju fan especially of Godzilla. If I didn't have massive writer's block along with my obsessive-compulsive thoughts distracting me all the time, I'd certainly be writing this.
With that said though it'd be a crossover between Gamera and Hilda. I feel it clicks being basing it off the Heisei incarnation, Gamera is the guardian of earth on top of being the friend of all children. Hilda in contrast had grown up in the wilderness and loving nature which she both has a connection with so I can imagine the friendship and bond the two would have.
Idea of my story would be that one day Hilda had nearly lost everyone dear to her when they came. Her friends David and Frida, Tontu, Kaisa, al…
The 70-minute movie special…
I was quite excited when the Wikipedia page of Hilda mentioned that it would release this year, but they changed it to 2021-2022. It was honestly quite disappointing, although that may have been to be expected.
Although, they might’ve had to keep releasing things every two years, but I wouldn’t think that a movie would have taken as long to make compared to a fully fledged TV show.
Anyways, I’m still quite excited for it, since the Mountain King is the longest graphic novel so far, so there’s a lot to add on.
Hilda Books - only three left for me!
So, I’ve bought most of the Hilda books, and I’ve gotten most of them already. I absolutely loved reading them, and I really hope they’d make some new ones for the future.
If you wanted to know, the only ones I don’t have are (I wrote three on the title but I forgot one of them, sorry!):
- Hilda and The Nowhere Space (I wanted a hardcover, but it’s out of stock at my nearest bookstore that had Hilda books)
- Hilda and The Stone Forest
- Hilda and The Midnight Giant (Similar to the first one, but instead I wanted the older artwork)
- Hilda’s Sparrow Scout Guide

Future Graphic Novels
So, a new graphic novel is coming out(though it’s just a combination of the first two graphic novels). I was wondering if Luke would’ve made some more novels based on the animated series? Or maybe an entirely new one to provide stories for upcoming seasons?
Hilda- Welcome to Trolberg
I can't believe that in a few weeks, I'm gonna be presenting my panel Hilda- Welcome to Trolberg in front of an audience because I just have really missed doing panels in person since this pandemic started since it's been 2 years since I've presented a panel in person
My Top 5 Favorite Episodes
Here are my top 5 favorite episodes of the Netflix series:
1. Chapter 13: The Stone Forest
2. Chapter 9: The Ghost
3. Chapter 1: The Hidden People
4. Chapter 1: The Troll Circle
5. Chapter 13: The Black Hound
Season 2 Thoughts
I was really looking forward to Season 2 of Hilda and I was very impressed by Season 2 because we saw that the show was able to do a good job without having to follow the source material of the graphic novels and I can't wait to see the 70 Minute Hilda movie when it comes out
Why we need a
I hope that the 3 Annie Awards that Hilda won over the weekend ensures that we end getting a 3rd Season of Hilda because it was shown in Season 2 that they can do stories without the source material in the show and that was the biggest strength of Season 2
Congrats on the Annie awards wins
I'm so glad that Hilda won three Annie awards since it is well deserved and I wonder if this could help in getting a third season renewal for Hilda because it would be great to get a third season of Hilda
Hilda Annie Award Winner
Hilda was nominated at The Annie Awards for three Awards and I'm proud to say that it won all three of the awards that it was nominated for. It's well deserved since it was for the episode The Deer Fox
No Hilda Panel in 2021
Well I don't think that I will end up getting to do my Hilda panel in 2021 unfortunately due to the fact that the convention I go to every year isn't going ahead this year but I understand why I'm not able to do it
Today Is My Birthday
Today I am celebrating my 25th Birthday however this year I am going to be celebrating it at home since we're currently in the middle of a lockdown but that's not gonna stop me from getting to see my Birthday movie Raya And The Last Dragon
Raya And The Last Dragon was great
28 Days of Hilda Drawings Day 1
I've decided that since there's only 28 Days in this month that I'm gonna do 28 Hilda Drawings and I decided to start it off with Alfur since Alfur is one of the easiest characters to draw. On the 2nd Day i drew
Bell Let's Talk
I was diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder when I was 13 after I ended up having a mental blackout where I didn't know who I was and I couldn't remember anything that I was doing. I would go through my daily life but didn't even know it was happening. That was the most terrifying moment in my life so there's no harm in admitting that you need help
Hilda Panel 2021
When a local convention happens this year then I'm planning on hopefully doing the Hilda panel that I did in 2020 but I would be adding on a few bonus slides because I had a slide talking about what comes next because Season 2 hadn't come out yet but now Season 2 has come out so I can give my thoughts about it now.
Happy New Year 2021
I hope that this year ends up being a better year than last year was because I think we can all admit Last Year wasn't a very good year
Merry Christmas Everyone
It's finally Christmas and I can't wait to spend the day with family and just having a very relaxed day today. It's going to be a good day today and I hope that everyone has a wonderful day
A Hilda Christmas
This is going to be a Hilda Christmas since I will be getting the Hilda Tie In Novels for Christmas and I can't wait to read them but I'll need to read the 3rd Tie In Novel before I can go onto the other novels in the series
Hilda Season 2 Review
So we were waiting since 2018 for the 2nd Season of Hilda and it was something that I was looking forward to along with many other Hilda fans so was it worth the long wait between seasons. Well without getting into spoilers, I'd say that it was definitively worth the wait and I'd say that Season 2 has a stronger emotional impact because anyone who has watched Season 2 would probably agree that Chapter 9 The Deerfox was one of the best episodes of the season and possibly the best episode of the whole series because The Deerfox was the episode that made me cry my eyes out. Season 2 was just amazing.
Hilda Season 2 First Impressions
I've only watched the first 3 episodes of Season 2 of the Netflix Series Hilda but I have to say that so far I'm really impressed by it because it may have been a long wait between Season 1 and 2 but so far it is definitely feeling the wait for the new season was worth it and I can't wait to sit down to watch the rest of the season today because I want to see what happens next in the story since I really liked Episode 3 and I'm interested in seeing what is going to happen next because it's been really thrilling so far
Edit
So I watched the rest of Season 2 and all I can say is wow, I knew that Season 2 would be good but I didn't know it would be this good. I also didn't expect for it to make me cry as much as I did but it certainly did parti…
14 Days of Hilda Day 14
Well today's the big day and Season 2 of the Netflix Animated Series Hilda drops today and since it's the big day, I thought what better character to end off my 14 Days of drawings with the titular character herself Hilda. To say I'm excited about Season 2 is an understatement, I'm planning on starting to watch Season 2 when I get home from work and I've had supper then I'm gonna watch the first 3 episodes of the season then watch the remaining 10 episodes tomorrow and I'm excited about the season finale in particular since it's the longest episode of the show with a 46 Minute Runtime
14 Days of Hilda Day 13
So we're officially one day away from the new season of Hilda on Netflix and to say that I'm excited about Tomorrow is a drastic understatement, I am pumped for Season 2 of Hilda so I decided to draw the second of the third main characters Frida and Frida is a character that I can relate to since I also have some of the traits that Frida has and even though the show never says it outright, Chapter 9 The Ghost but I think Frida might suffer from OCD because I definitely say some traits of it but maybe that's just me because I do suffer with OCD myself
14 Days of Hilda Day 12
For the 12th Day of my Hilda Drawing Challenge, I decided to draw. David because David is one of the characters that I relate to the most since David tends to get roped into a lot of situations that he would try to make himself not be a part of if it’ll put him in danger and he ends up being the character that I feel a strong connection to. I mean I have a strong connection for me personally
14 Days of Hilda Day 11
For the 11th Day of my Hilda Drawing Challenge, I decided to draw that I would draw the loving mother of Hilda, Johanna and I absolutely love Johanna in the animated series. Not saying that I didn't like her in the graphic novels because I did but I feel that in the graphic novels, Johanna came off as a bit more strict whereas she comes off more as being more relaxed in the animated series.
14 Days of Hilda Day 10
For the 10th Day of My Hilda drawings, I felt like drawing Trevor and honestly I hope we see him again in Season 2 because I feel like there's a chance for him to be redeemed as a character since he could come off as a likable character in my honest opinion even though the first time we saw him wasn't exactly in the best of light but it's possible to make him likable
New design
Hello editors, we have a new design to celebrate the premiere of Hilda's S2, the design includes new wordmark, header, bg and mainpage, all this thanks to our WM, Lady Lostris, enjoy!
14 Days of Hilda Day 9
For the 9th Day of my 14 Days of Hilda Drawing Challenge, I decided to draw a Woff because I just always find the woffs to be absolutely adorable and I love the fact that they look like a flying dog and that is just an incredible level of cuteness. Seeing Hilda riding around on a Woff looks like it'd be a lot of fun to do but also something that would be incredibly nerve-racking but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to wanting to ride it despite the fact of it looking like it'd be nerve racking since I have a bit of a fear of heights but I feel that'd go away while being on a Woff.
14 Days of Hilda Days 7 and 8
Continuing my 14 Days of Hilda Drawing Challenge with David’s Tide Mice from December 7th and The Troll on December 8th
14 Days of Hilda Days 5 and 6
Continuing my 14 Days of Hilda Drawings with The Wood Man on December 5th and The Vittra on December 6th
14 Days of Hilda Day 4 David's Marra
It's day 4 of my 14 Day Hilda Drawing Challenge and today I decided to draw David's Marra and I personally hope that we end up seeing more of both her and the other Marras in Season 2 because I feel like the Marra are definitely an interesting race of creatures to see the least and I think that there's more to them than what we've seen so far in the show. I find the idea that they can look like normal people but are a magical creature just absolutely fascinating to me so I'd love to see some lore get built upon in the show
14 Days of Hilda Drawings Days 1-3
Here are the first 3 drawings for my 14 Days of Hilda Drawings
Day 1 The Librarian
Day 2 Kelly The Marra
Day 3 Ms Hallgrim
14 Days of Hilda
Would you guys be interested in seeing the 3 drawings that I've done so far for my 14 Days of Hilda Challenge where I plan on doing 14 different Hilda drawings in anticipation of the new season of Hilda on December 14th 2020
The Month of Hilda
Today is December 1st 2020 which means that now it is officially the month of Hilda since December 14th 2020 is when the new season of Hilda comes out. To say I'm excited for the new season of Hilda is an understatement, I'm proud for Season 2
Hilda Rewatch Chapters 10-13
So my 3rd Rewatch of Season 1 of Hilda has come to a close and I must say that the last three episodes of Season 1 are probably my favorite of the whole season and I'll give my thoughts about the last three episodes of Season 1 later on today so stay tuned for that. Also I'm hyped because the official trailer for Season 2 of Hilda just dropped. And I'm able to do my thoughts about the last three episodes of Season 1 properly and I must say that the last four episodes of Season 1 are the episodes where I feel the show is really shining in terms of animation and the storyline
Chapter 10 The Storm
The Storm is one of the most action packed episodes of Hilda and it's also one of the episodes where I think the animation is at its absolute best be…
Update on My Hilda Rewatch
Since November 8th 2020, I began my 3rd Rewatch of the series Hilda and I must say that I'm really enjoying it even more the third time around mainly because when I first watched the show on December 9th 2018, I was basically binging it and not exactly fully taking in the chance to appreciate the wonder of this magnificent show. Now don't get me wrong, I was blown away by how good the show is when I first watched but when I did a rewatch of it in March 2019, I ended up realizing how gorgeous the animation by Mercury Filmworks and Atomic Cartoons is because it definitely gives off a Miyazaki vibe to me and that is a-ok in my book. Now that i'm doing a rewatch of the show for the 3rd time in 2020 being refreshed for Season 2 of Hilda, it's g…
Excitement For Season 2 of Hilda
I still find it hard to believe that in a few weeks, we are finally going to be watching the highly anticipated second season of Hilda and to say that I'm excited is an understatement. When they announced that Season 2 is going to be released on December 14th 2020, I'd be lying if I didn't admit to getting super pumped about the fact that we had been waiting in anticipation for when we were gonna get a release date but I'll admit that I was partly right on my prediction for when Season 2 would come out because I had pinpointed the last 4 fridays of December for a possible release date being on a Friday then with a whole bunch of dart throws. I'll admit that I thought it was gonna drop on a friday because I felt like the 2nd Season dropping…
Hilda Rewatch Chapters 7-9
Okay this is my third week of my four week blog post series detailing my rewatch of the First Season of Hilda in preparation for the release of Season 2 in December so here we go
Chapter 7 The Lost Clan
The Lost Clan is a very interesting episode to say the least and it's one of the episodes that ends up being one of my favorites because we end up learning more about the fact that Elves really love paperwork and this feels like an episode where Alfur comes off as one of my favorite characters since he has some really good lines in this episode. I also just find the fact that David ends up being okay with the fact that he was a hostage to elves as a funny thing since he ended up getting roped into what was going in quite literally. They offer a s…
Countdown to Season 2
I feel like December 14th can't come soon enough because we've been waiting two years for the new season and we've gone from not knowing anything about Season 2 to knowing lots of things about it and even seeing a few clips of Season 2 including the new intro for Season 2. To say that I'm excited for Season 2 of Hilda is an understatement because my excitement for Season 2 is through the roof and I can't wait until we see a trailer for Season 2 because I'll then be deciding if i want to see what we have in store for Season 2 or if I want to wait until December 14th 2020 to see it because I'm so excited about this show but I don't want to have to do a social media blackout but I'm willing to do it for Hilda even if I have to do it for a day…
Season 2 Hype
I love that we've gone from not knowing anything about the upcoming season of Hilda to knowing lots of things about Season 2 including getting to see some sneak peeks at the season including the intro and I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I love the little changes to the intro because we'll get to see why those changes are there once we get to watching it and I can't wait for December 14th 2020 to come. I also can't wait to see a trailer because I watched the trailer for Season 1 a couple of times this year presenting my Hilda Panel virtually this year but I hope I can present it in person in 2021 since I plan on adding on some things with my thoughts about Season 2
