The Heroes Wiki is an offshoot of the "Villains Wiki" and is designed to be a comprehensive database of heroes from all media - ranging from cartoon shows of old to epic dramas, movies and videogames. Heroes are an ancient traditional spanning across almost all cultures and capturing the imaginations of young and old - this wiki seeks to pay homage to those childhood fantasies as well as characters who continue to inspire us well into our adult life. |
 Marth, reputed as the Hero King, is one of the main protagonists of Nintendo‘s Fire Emblem franchise. He is the main protagonist of the Archanea timeline and one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Queen Lumera) of the 2023 video game Fire Emblem: Engage. He is the original Fire Emblem hero and the future King of Archanea. He is famously known for his heroic deeds in Archanea and being the hero who set the inspiration for future lords, especially in the case of his distant descendant Chrom. Marth is a confident man who believes that as Prince, he must put the needs of his country and people before himself. Though he struggles with great tragedy, he suppresses it for the sake of those who see him as a symbol of hope. Similarly, he initially refused to act upon his feelings for Princess Caeda, because he believed it would conflict with their ability to heal their damaged nations. In Japanese, Marth is voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa as an adult, Yū Kobayashi as a child in games, and Ai Orikasa as a child in the OVA. In English, Marth is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal (who also voiced Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto) in games and Spike Spencer in the OVA.
