Potion ingredient?[]
Unless I'm very much mistaken, Voldemort revived himself from his Horcrux form, so to speak, using a potion made from unicorn blood and basilisk venom. Relevant? American che{floo powder power!} 23:38, April 23, 2010 (UTC)

Venom/Horcrux CoS[]
Basilisk fangs have basilisk venom on them, right? If basilisk venom destroy Horcruxes, why didn't the basilisk fang in Harry's arm destroy the Horcrux inside him? --94.191.187.92 13:08, December 2, 2012 (UTC)
Poison VS. Venom[]
I was wondering why the article on basilisk venom says that it is also poisonous. Venom is not the same thing as poison, in fact, you can drink venom and have no affects. I would like to say that there is a species of snake that is both venomous and poisonous, but it isn't the venom that's poisonous, it's the poison.

Basilisk venom is extremely poisonous, and is capable of causing death quickly in the victim unless phoenix tears, its antidote is administered. And venoms are by definitions poisonous substances secreted by certain animals for aggressive purposes, making them all poisons. Real world snakes are also irrelevant here, as this is the Harry Potter universe. RedWizard98 (talk) 22:51, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Separate article for Basilisk fangs[]
Hello, I'm thinking we should have a separate article for the fangs of the Basilisk, since they are in fact separate parts of its anatomy, it's just that they contain its venom. Basilisk fangs are also a Foundable in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, not the venom, so I think we should have a separate article made. RedWizard98 (talk) 16:26, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
