Peter Jones was a wizard and Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He once posted a notice asking if anyone had found his lost cauldron, which he described as "sort of dented on the top and burned on the bottom", on the bulletin board in the Gryffindor common room.[2]

- In the real world, an entrepreneur and Dragons' Den 'dragon' also named Peter Jones attended the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premiere in London in July 2011, and was seen signing autographs there.[3]
