Harry Potter: Spells is an iPod game published on the Apple App Store on 15 November 2009. In the game, the player is invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The player will get a wand and will be Sorted in one of the four Hogwarts Houses by the Sorting Hat. There are twenty-three spells to learn in three different difficulty levels. If the player is able to do this right, he or she earns House points. If the player learns enough spells, he or she can do an online Wizard Duel.
New spell packs available through the App Store have added additional spells to the original lineup. On the free version, however, only three are learned: Alohomora, Petrificus Totalus and Expelliarmus.

The player will learn twenty-three different spells in this game. These spells are divided into five groups:
Offensive[]
Lower an opponent's health metre.

- Serpensortia
- Stupefy
- Crucio (Added in 2nd new spell pack)

Defensive[]
Deflect offensive spells.
Status[]
Offensive spells that hinder an opponent's ability to cast spells for a brief period of time.
Non-duelling[]
These can only be used in Practise Mode.

Healing[]
This can heal the caster.
