Mrs Bones was murdered by a Death Eater sometime in the second half of 1981. Her husband, Edgar, and children were killed along with her.[2]
As the wife of a member of the original Order of the Phoenix, Mrs Bones was presumably also affiliated with the anti-Voldemort movement and provided them at the very least her assistance before her murder.[3]

- ↑ Edgar Bones appeared in a photograph with Marlene McKinnon that was taken two weeks before Marlene's death in July 1981. Therefore the Bones family had to have been killed sometime between then and Voldemort's fall (31 October 1981).
