Annalena Gleam (née Murk) was the older sister of Ismelda Murk. She attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Gryffindor.

Biography

Her parents were very proud of her achievements, causing them to unintentionally neglect their younger daughter.

She was made a Prefect and, at some point after graduation, joined the British Ministry of Magic.

During the 1987–1988 school year, Annalena visited Hogsmeade on Ministry business to clean up the sabotaged Hogsmeade Festival. There she met Jacob's sibling and their friends, where they learnt she was Ismelda's sister and that Gleam was her new married name. The festival was saved due to their help.

Sometime during 1989–1990 school year, she wanted to visit Ismelda at Hogwarts.

• Ministry of Magic Identity Card: As a member of the Ministry of Magic, she owned a Ministry identity card. As of the 1997–1998 school year the identity card still showed her surname as her maiden name "Murk".
