* The danger with shopping for Christmas presents online is the inevitable shopping spree that follows. There are so many shiny things, and I want them all! Ordered Robert Jordan's
Eye of the World limited edition because shiny hummana hummana, plus the first two
Blacksad volumes. Finally got around to putting
Transmetropolitan on my wishlist since I don't own them yet for shaaame.
* Finally got around to updating my iPod. New music in, old I-don't-care-for-you-anymore music out. Plan to get some washing down done early this weekend, so the timing worked out.
* Banana/walnut/chocolate cream for dessert again today D: And there's plenty of leftovers for the coffee break.
Irresistible leftovers!
* I did this thing again. You two from the previous one, you know who you are and you're totally exempt because your comments are snuggle-worthy and precious and super long-lasting so there ♥
holiday love meme 2012
my thread here* Still going strong on the
Community rewatch. We just watched the Christmas ep three days ago, and roped in one more to watch it with us. We may have a convert on our hands :D
A few days before, it was
Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism, which I love very very much. Not only do we get a return to Jeff and Shirley being a force of awesome, but there are batman-related shenanigans that ends with the trio breaking into their landlord's apartment, unveiling that he's been stealing women's shoes. And that's where this gem pops up:
"Wait a minute; Rick doesn't have a wife... or women's feet."
Aside from the fact that the delivery was PERFECTION and everything in this episode filled me with glee, there was a darker part of my brain going
orly, Troy? Did ya check the fridge? :D Aaand then my brain took a very disturbing turn and I now feel like Annie should have stayed in her dangerous neighborhood because
serial killer landlord.
...I'm wondering if I'll be strong enough to skip their latest Christmas ep when it airs. It would make for such a wonderful Christmas treat to look forward to.
(lol I'm actually putting it on my resolutions list for next year as I type :p)* I watched
Martha Marcy May Marlene yesterday. Not an easy movie to see, but very well made and psychologically accurate. An eerie look at cult behavior, and the after-effects of sexual assault and erasure of identity.
