Scooch Pooch is one of the main characters of Go, Dog. Go! (TV Series).
Appearance
He is a small dog with 2 shades of blue fur, he has light blue on his paws, muzzle, face, ear and tail tips; dark blue on the majority of his body and a white belly, wears a red bandana around his neck and his right ear is usually folded downwards and pointing towards his nose.
Personality
Scooch is shyer and more reserved compared to his best friend, Tag Barker. He has been shown to not be a very good thrower, terrible at keeping secrets, and afraid of heights. In addition, he is also often startled by Tag, but that doesn't stop him from being a good crew chief.
Biography
Scooch Pooch is a next-door neighbor of the Barkers who just moved in to Pawston from a farm in a rural area along with his mom and live with her in a new home. Back on the old farm, Scooch gained an appreciation with chickens because of how adorable they are. According to Dog the Right Thing, his mother taught him how to sniff out clues. For his birthday, his mom got him a stuffed chicken named Cluckles, and he has been Scooch's go-to stuffed animal ever since.
He also has his green tractor with a chicken horn on the front that he brought over from the old farm. It doesn't go very fast, much to the dismay of Tag. However, there was one time where she installed rocket boosters to his tractor to make sure Gerald delivers his mail without being chased by the dogs. He later took those rockets off his tractor by the events of Dog the Right Thing, as they weren't really his speed, anyways.
His favorite day is Clucky Day, so when Scooch was feeling down about potentially missing out on the holiday now that he has moved to Pawston, Tag Barker and nearly everyone in Pawston pitched in to help bring Scooch's favorite holiday to Pawston, which they eventually did, much to his delight.
Scooch first got into Tail-kwondo when he encountered a bully goat back on the farm and since then, he has been practicing mastering the art of Tail-kwondo. When he still couldn't get to break the biscuit, Tag Barker offers to help him master it. Even after all the training he went through under her tutoring, he still can't break it. That changed when they visited Master Wag (actually Manhole Dog) and he practiced for a bit under his tutoring and with the help of his golden bone. When it came time for the test, though, he mistakenly brought the squeaky toy instead of the real deal thanks to Manhole Dog's mix-up. Regardless, he soon realized he didn't need the golden bone, anyways, since he not only did amazing Tail-kwondo on the way to the test, but he also managed to break the biscuit in half easily, allowing him to pass the test and become a true tail-master.
Trivia
- Scooch originally wasn't going to have a red bandana, but instead, a regular collar with a circle tag on it. It was later changed to better reflect Scooch's time on the farm before he moved to Pawston.
- In season 4 episode 6b it's revealed that his middle name is Dennis.
