This parses out highlight color when pasting
Implementation Approach
I use
DOMParserto look at the clipboard, find span's with non-default bg color and use it for the highlight mark.I use a running counter (
indexAcc) to keep track where I am in the clipboard text, as DOMParser does not come with source maps. Unfortunately I couldn't get that to work with paragraphs in the time that I had, so I just skip them when they are present.Testing Done
