A demonstration of spontaneous symmetry breaking by using Higgs potential/Mexican hat potential.
We propose a minimal dynamical mechanism for the emergence of physical time from an atemporal CPT-invariant vacuum. Using a nonlinear phase equation admitting a stable limit cycle, we interpret time as a time-crystalline phase arising via spontaneous time-translation symmetry breaking, without assuming an external clock.
