The Solar Apocalypse is a modpack focused on bringing you a reimagined and difficult experience. There are several features to enhance your experience, such as: a thirst system, a temperature system and mobs with completely new AI and full of new behaviors.

As well as focusing on difficulty, we bring all this together with a good list of mods and optimization resources that make your game weigh less and be much more efficient in performance.

☀️ The Sun's Burning Path

These are the events that will occur in your gameplay:

  • From the second day: all the blocks (water, trees, grass and others) will be burned;
  • From the fourth day: all the entities exposed to the sun will be burned;
  • From the fifteenth day: all the entities and blocks will be burned from layer 100 (it no longer matters whether they are exposed to the sun or not);
  • Every 5 days: the sun affects more layers until it reaches layer 0 on day 100.

🛠️📖Installation Guide

This guide uses ATLauncher as an example, you may be able to do this with other launchers but the step-by-step will change. To install the modpack from source, follow these steps:

  1. Download this.

  2. Create an instance for Minecraft 1.xx.x with Fabric.

  3. Move the previously downloaded file to your instance folder.

  4. Go to the instance settings and then to the commands tab.

  5. Click on “Enable commands?” and add this command line to the pre-launch:

    • "$INST_JAVA" -jar packwiz-installer-bootstrap.jar https://raw.githubusercontent.com/seriousfreezing/SolarApocalypse/refs/heads/main/versions/supported/1.21.1/index.toml (Change to the version you want.)
  6. Add the mods mentioned in the description to this repository folder: ./versions/supported/1.xx.x/

  7. You're ready to play!

If you have any problems or questions, go to the Packwiz wiki or contact them on their discord server.
