We could also use
_INVALID_HTML_TAG_RE = re.compile(r'<(?!/?[a-z0-9]+(?: .*|/?)>)(?:.|\n)*?>', re.IGNORECASE | re.ASCII)instead of addingA-Zin the pattern, let me know what you prefer.
