This issue was already closed without being resolved. I think it was a misunderstanding of my comment... I meant that the claim of Irene is obsolete, because she left the team and not that the issue itself was obsolete....
I used the simple "print" function from matlab to pdf direclty (without conversion from eps to pdf). I am quite happy with the results.
