Similiar to

Requested a caniuse entry for Level 2:-

Coming with Safari 14, at least iOS 14: https://twitter.com/tomayac/status/1275403170034921472

Looks like it has to be enabled on iOS 14 by going to Settings -> Safari -> Advanced -> Experimental Features and enabling Web Share API Level 2

Once enabled, I was able to share an image by plugging it into this page: https://w3c.github.io/web-share/demos/share-files.html

The spec has been updated so https://w3c.github.io/web-share/ now includes file sharing support that was previously only defined in "Level 2".

I'm sure you know it already since you're a part of it, @ewilligers, but looks like there is no more Level 2 for the time being, per https://w3c.github.io/web-share/level-2/:

This specification has moved

This incubated "Web Share - Level 2" document has been folded into the official specification for the Web Share API.

As well as the PR: w3c/web-share#134

Presumably file sharing support was the sole content of Level 2?

Moving on to the import part, what does that imply for https://caniuse.com/web-share or rather the current data?

I guess we're going to use this issue to incorporate the folding :)

On a related note, do you know if something similar is planned for Web Share Target API Level 2?
