A Python script that calculates a car's speed in miles per hour, given its skid distance in feet.

Python 3.x

Click the Code button, then click on "Download ZIP"

OR

Click the skid_speed.py file, then click on the Download Raw File button.

1. Enter the car's skid distance in feet. It must be either zero or a positive number, either integer or decimal. Then, press Enter.
2. The car's estimated speed in miles per hour will be displayed on screen.
3. Finally, press Enter to exit the program.
